Year One – Animation

by Julia - November 19th, 2011

I was going to post everything from first year individually, but eh, I have actual work to do so I don’t have the time.  I decided I’m just going to post all of the art I have from first year in bunches based on subject.   (I’ll be posting everything I did past first year individually.)  Up first is animation, because I have all of those files handy. :>

(This one’s actually from character design, but I’m putting it up since I’ll forget it otherwise.)

(This was also technically not done for animation class, but for digital tools, but I love my little noodle fox, so here he is. <3 )

….Man, It’s weird to think that I used to be worried I wouldn’t finish animating a bouncing ball…

Entrance Portfolio

by Julia - November 18th, 2011

I thought I’d start this out with my entrance portfolio.  These are all the pieces I included for the required parts of the portfolio:

I also included a full process of a comic I did, some storyboard thumbnails, and some other things I can’t seem to find scans of.  I did fairly well on the portfolio review and I somehow managed to get in on my first try.  I look back on these and I’m surprised at how much I’ve improved in less than two years.  So weird man. :|

Also, if you yourself are looking to get into the animation program at Sheridan, go take a gander at Amanda Zima’s blog.

Wut.

…How did you even find this blog?

Well.  However you did, you’re here now, so let’s make the most of this situation.

This blog is the “professional” (I use that term very loosely) blog of Julia Lee Peat.  I currently attend the animation program at Sheridan College up yonder in Canada, where we drink our milk out of bags.  Oh yeah and I’m in my second year of the program; aren’t I just a special snowflake?  Other than bleeding onto animation paper daily, I also work freelance and try my hardest to write comics.  Those won’t be on here unless they’re at the like… publishing stage I guess.  No, this blog is for thatthemthere amination stoof.

Hope you can dig it.
